RESPONSIBILITIES

Seeking a passionate Part-Time Worship Director/Pastor to lead our congregation in Sunday morning worship experiences and oversee our worship teams. The ideal candidate will have strong musical ability, leadership skills and a heart for nurturing spiritual growth through worship, while providing dedicated leadership and care for our volunteers and worship teams. There is also the possibility to extend hours with our fellow network church, Daybreak Community Church in Airdrie.

OUR CONGREGATION

Many of Renfrew Baptist (previously Temple Baptist) congregants are long-time attendees and represent some of the “founding” families of the church. These pioneers of the faith alongside many newcomers and young families comprise the people who gather to worship within our walls. Over the past 8 years we have seen incredible revitalization within our church community following a difficult season of uncertainty. Our membership has grown consistently with new faces and families joining every week. We banded together (apart) during the challenges of 2020 and quickly adapted to an online world while following ever changing guidelines. These challenges only made our body stronger.

OUR BUILDING

Renfrew Baptist Church is located in the heart of the community of Renfrew in Calgary Alberta. Our address is 1204 Renfrew Drive and we take up our residence on the corner of that street. Our building was established in 1958 and we are just finishing up a major renovation project that spanned the better part of a year. We upgraded our kitchen to be able to gather and break bread together, our worship space is completely transformed with new equipment, new chairs, and a sound system that is currently in the process of being updated.
