Re-opening Plan for July 2021
We are grateful for the easing of COVID restrictions in Alberta as of July 1, 2021. We understand that there is a wealth of emotions attached to re-opening and want to be respectful of the differing opinions on the continuum of reopening.
For the months of July and August, we are pleased to be hosting Outdoor Church, weather permitting. We will be joining our sister church, Daybreak Community Church, at their location (2104 Yankee Valley Boulevard, Airdrie) when the weather is favorable.
We look forward to welcome everyone back into our building on a weekly basis starting in September. September will be an exciting month for us as we lay out some new plans for us as a church.
Watch our website and bulletin for details each week to confirm the location; in the event of an unfavorable forecast, we will host the service indoors at Renfrew Baptist Church.
Outdoor services will be recorded and posted online at 6:00 PM Sunday evenings. If the service is held indoors, it will be live-streamed at 10:30 AM.

We are pleased to announce that with the Alberta Government restrictions for churches being raised back to 15% of building capacity, we will be hosting in-person services again as of June 6, 2021. Due to the limited capacity we are asking people to pre-register. Click the link below if you are interested in attending and we will get back to you if we are able to include you in the upcoming service. If you do not hear back, please be sure to check your spam folder for our email.
Please note that we make every effort to get you into the next service with available seating, but due to capacity restrictions it may take a week or two before we are able to have you join us in person.

Letter to our Neighbours in Renfrew Community
Dear Renfrew Community –
On behalf of Renfrew Baptist Church, we wanted to reach out to you to check in with you and see how you’re doing. We also want to inform you of something that is happening this Sunday at our church. We are so thankful to be your neighbours on the corner of Russell Road and Renfrew Drive. Thank you for allowing us to be part of your lives in this special community.
For the last 10 months, we have all been learning the rhythms (and frustrations) of dealing with COVID-19. So much of our lives has been stripped away and so many things have changed in all of our worlds. Our leadership team made a decision, 10 months ago to not hold any in-person church services in our building until we felt that we could meet the regulations that our government leaders have put in place and keep our community safe. To be honest, these have been a long ten months, as we have waited for the day where we could hold services in our building once again.
This Sunday, January 31, 2021, we are opening up in a very limited fashion for Sunday morning worship services with around 40 people in attendance. We understand that having activity around our building again on a Sunday morning will certainly be a change from what you have seen in the last 10 months. We are committed to being in FULL compliance with all of the regulations that the government has provided for us. Some of these regulations include: pre-registration to attend a service, very limited attendance (under 15% of our building capacity), masks required and provided when needed, doors opened just 10 minutes before the service and people dismissed 10 minutes after the service, as well as stringent disinfecting practices. Please know that we are committed to being a “safe” place for our people as well as for you, our neighbours.
We understand that this might raise some questions for you and we want to make sure that you know we are available to answer any questions you may have. These are unprecedented times and we are committed to continually evaluating our re-opening strategy in the days and months ahead.
